Parents need your help. Thinking Day February 23rd

I will need a parent volunteer to attend the council event for us with the girls as I will be out of town.
This is a neat event where different girls in our area make displays about different countries in honor of thinking day.

Thinking Day, February 22nd, is the day we celebrate the international sisterhood of Girl Scouting. By being registered members of GSUSA all of us are entitled to wear the World Association Pin. This is the emblem of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS).

Some country stations might have clothing , others foods, music.  It is a very interesting night for the girls and a great way to send some time with other troops.

Girls will receive a passport to mark their way around the countries.  Some countries will even be giving out S.W.A. P.S. so bring our hat~

Registration is required for this even and I will need to know how many girls are going &  money for those attending in a marked envelope with the permission slip, by February 14th meeting as well as the name of the adult volunteer.

If you can make it this is an event that is not to miss~

Yours in Scouting

Can you believe how much we have accomplished in October already!

And it is only the beginning of the month~
  • We had our first Field trip with the Webelows and improved our archery skills…
  • We had our 2nd meeting…
  • We learned about typography art and made cool troop number badges for our sashes…
  • We made spooky scary skull shirts for our haunted caravan at the end of the month…

I’d say we are off to an excellent start.

The rest of the girls got in on the action of mugging it up for the camera

We made these Troop number badges after learning about typography art and how even things that may not be so interesting by themselves can look beautiful when put with other things.  Sometimes all it takes is to take a fresh new look. Fits in with the Reduce Recycle Renew Reuse ideals that we will be talking about all year.
